Meet Dr. Toby Hampton, MD

Dr Hampton has strong roots in West Tennessee. He grew up in Huntingdon, TN and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1994. He then went to the University of Tennessee at Martin, graduating there in 1998 with a B.S. in Biology. He then received his Doctorate of Medicine at James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee

State University in 2002. Dr Hampton served as Chief resident at the ETSU family medicine residency program in Johnson City, Tennessee and graduated as an accelerated resident in June 2004. After leaving Johnson City, Dr. Hampton moved to Mckenzie, Tennessee where he started his own private practice where he worked from

2004-2019. He has held a few different positions since then including working as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in 2021.

Dr. Hampton is the father of 3 children Noah, Jonah, and Isabella Hampton. He enjoys playing saxophone, harmonica, and piano in his spare time. Dr. Hampton is also an animal lover and enjoys hiking.
